ADEQ opens second comment period, through Nov. 13, on Ehrenberg Compressor Station air permit renewal

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality opened a second public comment period, Oct. 14 to Nov. 13, 2026, on its proposal to renew the Class I air quality permit for North Baja Pipeline, LLC’s Ehrenberg Compressor Station in La Paz County.

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) began a second public comment period on Oct. 14, 2026, on its proposal to renew an air quality control permit for the Ehrenberg Compressor Station in La Paz County. The comment period ends Nov. 13, 2026.

Who and what. The permit is Class I Air Quality Permit Renewal No. 106623, issued to North Baja Pipeline, LLC, for the continued operation of the compressor station on Colorado River Road in Ehrenberg.

Emissions covered. ADEQ says the facility is subject to federal and state clean air rules and emits coarse and fine particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5), volatile organic compounds, nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide and hazardous air pollutants.

Where to review. The public notice, draft permit, draft technical support document and permit application are on the ADEQ notice page (https://azdeq.gov/node/11435). Copies can also be reviewed at the ADEQ Records Center and at the Quartzsite City Clerk’s Office.

How to comment. Email comments to airpermits@azdeq.gov, or mail them to the ADEQ Air Quality Division, Air Permits, Attn: Karla Murrieta, in Phoenix; mailed comments must be postmarked or received by Nov. 13, 2026. ADEQ notes the permit is also subject to EPA review, and that a later petition to EPA must be based on objections raised with reasonable specificity during the comment period.
