The National Weather Service in San Diego issued this High Wind Warning at 11:16 a.m. PDT Wednesday, Oct. 14 (KSGX HW.W.0003). It covers parts of the Inland Empire valleys, Riverside County mountains, Santa Ana Mountains/foothills and San Gorgonio Pass near Banning. Most zones begin at 6 a.m. Thursday; some continue into Friday evening, Saturday evening or early Sunday depending on the zone.
Weather (NWS): Thursday–Friday northeast winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 55 mph possible; gusts over 60 mph near the Cajon Pass. Saturday more easterly gusts 35 to 45 mph, strongest below the San Gorgonio Pass. Strongest winds expected Friday.
Impacts: Trees and power lines can come down. Power outages are possible. High-profile vehicle travel can be difficult.
