District OF Columbia Ferc Open Meeting Oct hearing

Local brief

October 15, 2026: FERC’s open meeting is one hour at 888 First Street

FERC’s public calendar says the October 15 open meeting runs 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Eastern at headquarters in Washington. That is 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. Pacific. The page does not list a pipeline rate case.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, FERC, holds a public open meeting on Thursday, October 15, 2026. The event page says 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time. On the Pacific clock that is 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. The room is the Kevin J. McIntyre Commission Meeting Room, Room 2C, at FERC headquarters, 888 First Street N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426.

An open meeting is where the commissioners can vote on orders that are already on the agenda. It is not the same thing as a rate case. A rate case is a docket where a pipeline or a utility asks to change what it charges, and other people can protest. This calendar page does not name a docket, a dollar amount, or a pipeline. Do not treat the hour on the calendar as a decision.

The same page lists statement slots for Chairman Laura Swett and Commissioners David Rosner, Lindsay See, Judy Chang, and David LaCerte. Those names are on the public event page under Statements. The page does not say they have already issued statements about any particular order. A webcast link is promised for the week of the meeting. Past webcasts stay up for three months, the page says.

People who need help filing a comment or an intervention can call the Office of Public Participation at (202) 502-6595 or email OPP@ferc.gov. FERC Online Support is (202) 502-6652, or toll-free 1-866-208-3676. The TTY line listed on the page is (202) 502-8659. Office hours on that page are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern.

This brief is the clock and the room. It is not a prediction of what the Commission will vote on. Orders, if any, show up afterward as a Notice of Action Taken. A longer paper on a different FERC event, the October 21 reliability conference, is already on the energy desk. That conference is docket AD26-8-000. It is not this open meeting.
