Local brief

Flash Flood Warning for central Camden County until midnight

NWS Jacksonville warns central Camden County until midnight EDT Sunday. About 1.5 to 4 inches of rain had fallen, with more possible.

The National Weather Service office in Jacksonville issued a Flash Flood Warning for northern Nassau County, Florida, and central Camden County, Georgia. This page is only the Camden County part.

It began at 8:54 p.m. EDT on Saturday, October 3, 2026. It runs until midnight EDT, the start of Sunday, October 4.

Radar showed heavy rain. About 1.5 to 4 inches had fallen by 8:54 p.m. Another 1 to 2 inches was possible. NWS said flooding of streets, small creeks, and low spots was happening or about to start. The source is radar.

On this Camden County page, the warned slice is central Camden County. Northern Nassau County, Florida, is in the same NWS message and has its own hub page. Older Camden flood messages from earlier this evening are not this warning.

NWS listed Woodbine, Kings Ferry, and Colesburg. This page does not add other towns, and it does not say which building is flooded.

The National Weather Service safety line is simple: turn around, don't drown. Most flood deaths happen in cars. At night it is harder to see water on the road. Do not drive into flooded streets.

The product code is FFWJAX. Nassau County and Camden County each have their own hub page for this same warning.

This Notice Nearby brief does not report any injuries, deaths, or wrecked buildings. The weather message did not list those facts, so this page does not add them. Notice Nearby is a public register, not a newspaper, and this page is not Legal Publication.
