McLeod County veterans: free VA walk-in flu shots at St. Cloud start Oct. 6, Minneapolis on Thursday afternoons later this month

McLeod County Veteran Services in Minnesota updated its What's New page on Oct. 6 with the VA's 2026 flu-shot schedule. The shots are free, but the clinics are for veterans enrolled in VA health care.

St. Cloud VA walk-in clinic (Building 96): Tuesday, Oct. 6; Thursday, Oct. 8; Wednesday, Oct. 14; Thursday, Oct. 15; and Friday, Oct. 16, each from 9 a.m. to noon.

Minneapolis VA and all Minneapolis-connected VA clinics, walk-in: Thursdays Oct. 22 and Oct. 29 and Thursday, Nov. 5, each from 1 to 3 p.m.

Other options: enrolled veterans can also get a flu shot at most scheduled VA appointments, or at any in-network pharmacy in the VA Community Care Network. The county's page links to a lookup for in-network pharmacies. It is about as close to a drive-thru as the VA gets, minus the fries.

Also on the county's page: Parents Inspired's donation-based Inspired Rides volunteer driver program, which covers a 25-mile radius of Hutchinson on weekdays, with limited medical trips to St. Cloud, Willmar and the Twin Cities, and a note that VA pharmacy bottles are switching from paper medication sheets to QR codes, with paper copies still available on request.
