USDA Rural Development's $4 million helps open the renovated Hannibal Innovation Center
USDA Rural Development Missouri says the Hannibal Public School District received $4 million through its Community Facilities program to renovate the Hannibal Innovation Center, which held its ribbon cutting on Sept. 30, 2026, and expands career and technical education for students from Hannibal and nine surrounding schools.
USDA Rural Development Missouri reported in its fiscal year 2027 newsletter, sent Oct. 14, 2026, that the renovated Hannibal Innovation Center in Hannibal held its ribbon cutting ceremony on Sept. 30, 2026.
The money. The Hannibal Public School District received $4 million through USDA Rural Development's Community Facilities program to renovate the center. The agency says the project was also supported by $1.7 million from the Missouri Department of Education and more than $16 million in local investment.
What the center offers. According to USDA Rural Development, the center expands career and technical education for students from the Hannibal district and nine surrounding schools, with hands-on training in fields including automotive, welding, culinary arts, cosmetology and machine tooling.
