Flooding closes Big Willow, River and Butler Bridge roads in Henderson County, NC
French Broad River flooding has closed three roads in Henderson County, NCDOT says: Big Willow Rd, River Rd near Etowah and Butler Bridge Rd near Fletcher. The National Weather Service has a Flood Warning for the river through late tonight.
What: NCDOT lists three Henderson County roads as closed, all lanes, because of high water and flooding. The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has a Flood Warning for the French Broad River at Blantyre (Henderson and Transylvania counties) until midnight EDT and a Flood Advisory for the river near Fletcher until 8 a.m. EDT Tuesday.

River levels: NWS reported the French Broad at Blantyre at 17.0 feet at 9 a.m. EDT (bankfull is 15 feet), with minor flooding of farmland and boat access areas at Grove Bridge Rd and Crab Creek Rd. Storm totals of 4 to 6 inches are keeping the river high.
