Two statewide gaming enforcement updates. On Aug. 28, 2026, the Ninth Circuit ruled 3-0 that Nevada can apply its gaming laws to sports-event contracts offered by Kalshi, Crypto.com and Robinhood. On Sept. 30, the Board said a Clark County grand jury indicted William West Roberts on Sept. 29 on illegal sports-betting business and money-laundering charges.
The Board says the Roberts case followed a multi-year investigation into wagers taken through a website based in Costa Rica. An indictment is a charge, not a conviction.
