Local brief
Clackamas emergency alerts start at OR-Alert, not on this hub
Sign up for Clackamas County emergency alerts at oralert.gov. An empty Notice Nearby alert box is not an all-clear.
The Clackamas hub’s county-alert section is empty. That means Notice Nearby has not posted an email from the county. It does not mean the county has no warning system. Oregon’s OR-Alert site is the finder. Search Clackamas County, then use the county’s own sign-up. The state says Everbridge covers all 36 counties, alerts are free, and you can text a ZIP code to 888777 for a basic option.
Wildfire smoke, ice, and high water do not wait for a register card. Sign up before the week you need it. Add a second address if family members split time between this county and Portland. TripCheck is the highway map. OR-Alert is the warning message. Use both. A board agenda is a third list. Do not file a road closure on the meetings calendar.
The hub already carries Willamette National Cemetery memorials. Those are not emergency news. Keep alert copy out of the memorial list. Weather on the hub is a forecast, not a warning. If the National Weather Service issues a warning, publish the warning text, the end time, and the source, then take the card down when the warning ends.
The county’s own site, clackamas.us, is where emergency management and the sheriff post local instructions. Link there when they post. Do not rewrite their instructions from memory.

This is a Notice Nearby local brief — an in-house explainer written from a government-posted notice on this register. It is not official minutes, not a newspaper story, and not Legal Publication.
