Oregon State Police release details of fatal Oct. 5 crash on I-205 southbound on-ramp in Clackamas County
Oregon State Police said a pickup driver died after a single-vehicle crash on the I-205 southbound on-ramp from SE Sunnybrook Blvd. on Oct. 5, 2026. OSP said its preliminary investigation indicated the pickup appeared to be racing a motorcycle; the motorcycle rider has not been identified.
Oregon State Police released details on Oct. 14, 2026, of a fatal single-vehicle crash in Clackamas County.
What happened. OSP said that on Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, at about 2:08 p.m., troopers responded to the crash on the on-ramp to I-205 southbound from SE Sunnybrook Blvd. According to OSP’s preliminary investigation, a white Ford F250 pickup appeared to be racing a dark-colored sportbike-style motorcycle before the pickup left its lane for unknown reasons, struck a concrete barrier, rolled several times and came to rest on the shoulder.
Who was involved. OSP identified the pickup driver as Corey Neal Sharer, 57, of Portland, who was pronounced dead at the scene. OSP said the motorcycle rider has not been identified.
Traffic impact and agencies. The I-205 southbound on-ramp was affected for about three hours during the on-scene investigation. OSP was assisted by Clackamas Fire District, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
