Find an Oregon court date without treating Notice Nearby as the docket

Oregon court dates and case records live on the Oregon Judicial Department site. A Notice Nearby county hub can point there. It is not the docket.

The Oregon Judicial Department runs the state courts. Its public site is the place to find a court, a court date, a case record, a fee, a form, or a remote-hearing link. Circuit courts sit in each county. Tax foreclosure judgments, many civil cases, and criminal cases are court records. They are not the same thing as a county board agenda.

The courts site lists online tools by name: OJD Courts eFile, OJCIN Online, records and calendar search, ePay, and text reminders for some hearings. Which tool opens which case depends on the court and the case type. Do not guess a hearing time from a county press release. Open the court calendar or call the court named on your paper.

Notice Nearby’s county hubs are a public-notice register. A hub can point to the court. It is not the clerk of court, and a register placement is not legal publication. If you need a filing that has been placed on Notice Nearby, search the register and check the content hash. If you need the official case file, use the court.

People looking for divorce forms, restraining orders, jury service, or an interpreter should start on the courts site’s “How do I?” list. Those pages change. This brief does not copy form numbers or fees, because a fee copied today can be wrong next month.
