Multnomah County Board: Thursdays at 9:30, Tuesdays at 10
Multnomah County votes at Thursday 9:30 a.m. board meetings and holds Tuesday 10 a.m. briefings in Portland. Comment is three minutes. Check the county calendar before you go.
The Multnomah County Board of Commissioners posts how to attend, watch, and speak on its “About Board Meetings” page. Regular meetings, where the board votes, are on Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. Briefings are on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. The county says the calendar can change, so open the planned 2026 calendar PDF on that same page before you go.
Meetings are hybrid. You can be in the room or online. The page names the place as the Multnomah Building boardroom in Portland. The building is wheelchair accessible. Closed captioning is available. If you need an interpreter, email the board clerk at least 72 hours ahead. Masks are not required. Recordings are posted on the board clerk’s site and on the county board’s YouTube channel within 48 hours after the meeting ends.
Public comment on items that are not on the agenda is at the start of Thursday meetings. Comment on an agenda item comes before the vote on that item. Each person gets three minutes unless the board says otherwise. Speaking slots for non-agenda comments can fill up. Written testimony is still allowed. Use the county’s testimony form. Do not send testimony only to Notice Nearby. We cannot put it in the county record.
A boardroom renovation closed in-person meetings from August 11 through September 22, 2026, with a virtual backup and a public viewing room. The county said in-person meetings would resume Thursday, September 24, 2026, if construction finished. That window is over. Still confirm the week’s agenda, because a renovation note can linger on an old PDF.
If you think the board broke Oregon’s public-meetings law, the county tells you to file a written grievance with the county attorney. The page says the county will answer within 21 calendar days after it receives the grievance. That process is not a hearing comment.
Rechecked the county page the evening of October 3, 2026 PT. It still says regular votes are Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. and briefings are Tuesdays at 10 a.m. This brief does not add one day’s agenda. No street address is printed here.
