Oregon’s November 3, 2026 election: register by October 13

Oregon’s next statewide general election is November 3, 2026. Register by October 13. Ballots start mailing October 14. There are no statewide measures. Governor and U.S. Senator are on the ballot.

Oregon will hold a statewide general election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. The Oregon Secretary of State’s elections page is the official source for the dates below. This note is a plain-language map of that page. It is not a ballot and it is not legal advice.

The last day to register to vote for this election is October 13, 2026. A paper card must be postmarked by that day, or you can submit the online form by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Counties start mailing ballots to active voters on October 14. If My Vote shows your registration as inactive, you do not get a ballot until you fix it. Check or update your record at the state’s My Vote tool, or call your county clerk.

The state also mails a voters’ pamphlet and posts it online. A missing candidate statement means the candidate skipped the pamphlet, not that the candidate is off the ballot.

There are no statewide ballot measures on this election. Statewide races are on every ballot, including Governor and U.S. Senator. Party affiliation does not change what is on a general-election ballot. Local city, county, and district races still depend on the address on your registration. Read your own ballot.

Election Day is the last day to return a ballot. County elections offices are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. A ballot in an official drop box must be in by 8 p.m. A mailed ballot must be postmarked by Election Day. The state says a postmarked ballot can arrive up to seven days later and still count. The state also says the safer mail date is October 27, a week before Election Day. Sign the return envelope yourself. If the signature does not match, the county sends a challenge notice. You have 21 days after the election to fix it.

The drop-box locator is planned to open about 20 days before Election Day. Final statewide results are certified December 10, 2026. Your county clerk, not this page, posts your local drop sites.
