Oregon: federal Government Fraud Task Force keeps working on program fraud (Oct. 7, 2026)

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon says its Government Fraud Task Force met again to share data and go after major fraud against government programs, with the VA Office of Inspector General taking part.

U.S. Attorney Scott E. Bradford in Portland said on Oct. 7, 2026, that the District of Oregon’s Government Fraud Task Force is continuing its work. The group brings together federal prosecutors, federal law enforcement and agency inspectors general, including the VA Office of Inspector General.

At its latest meeting, hosted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, members focused on sharing more intelligence and data, finding new ways to spot fraud, ranking investigative leads and putting resources on the biggest fraud schemes against government programs and taxpayers.
