Umatilla County emergency alerts through OR-Alert

Umatilla County’s Notice Nearby page does not yet show a county email alert. An empty box means this register has nothing to post. It does not mean the county is quiet, and it is not an all-clear.

Oregon’s finder is oralert.gov. Search Umatilla County. The state says each county has its own sign-up, and that Everbridge is the system used by all 36 Oregon counties. Alerts are free. Your phone plan may still charge for texts. You can text your ZIP code to 888777 for a basic alert. You can put more than one address on a profile if you work in one town and live in another.

TripCheck, at tripcheck.com, is the highway and weather map from the Oregon Department of Transportation. Use it for closures and chain rules. Use OR-Alert for the warning message from public safety. A board agenda is a third thing. Do not file a road-camera image on the meetings calendar.

Umatilla County’s homepage, checked October 3, 2026, lists assessment and taxation, the board of commissioners, and community development among its departments. Pendleton and Hermiston are both large cities here. Do not assume every hearing is in one town. The Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation are a separate government. County tax foreclosure and tribal council agendas should not be mixed.

In a real emergency, follow the county sheriff or emergency manager and the alert you signed up for. Do not wait for a card on noticenearby.com.
