The National Weather Service office in Columbia issued a Flash Flood Warning for southwestern Lancaster County, South Carolina. It began at 10:30 p.m. EDT on Saturday, October 3, 2026. It runs until 1:30 a.m. EDT on Sunday, October 4, 2026.
A flash flood is fast water on streets, small creeks, and low ground. Radar showed thunderstorms with heavy rain. Up to about 4 inches had fallen by 10:30 p.m. Another inch is possible. NWS said flooding was happening or was about to start. This is a radar warning.
NWS named these places in the warned area: Elgin, Heath Springs, McDonald Green Elementary School, Faith Christian School, Pleasant Hill, and Bell Town Fire Station. This page is only for Lancaster County. It is not a warning for other South Carolina counties.
