NWS Mobile, Alabama Flood Warning, issued 10:40 p.m. PT Oct. 9: Southeastern Conecuh County in south central Alabama... Covington County in south central Alabama... Southern Crenshaw County in south central Alabama... Eastern Escambia County in south central Alabama... Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. When (NWS): Until 7:00 a.m. PT Saturday. At 10:38 p.m. PT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 4 and 8 inches of rain have fallen. Some locations that will experience flooding include: Andalusia, Opp, Brewton, Florala, East Brewton, Brantley, River Falls, Red Level, Lockhart, Dozier, Heath, Gantt, Glenwood, Riverview, Carolina, Beck, Stanley, Red Oak, Loango and Rhump. Impacts (NWS): Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas. In effect until 7:00 a.m. PT Sat Oct 10.
