What is happening: The National Weather Service office in Las Vegas says thunderstorms are causing minor flooding now or soon in low spots, washes and poor-drainage areas.
Where and until when: NWS has a Flood Advisory for northeastern San Bernardino County around Baker and Dumont Dunes (part of a larger advisory that also covers parts of Inyo County, Calif., and Nye and Clark counties, Nev.), until 9 a.m. PDT Sunday, Oct. 11. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. Places NWS named include Baker, Dumont Dunes and SR 127 Near Dumont Dunes. NWS has a Flood Advisory for the Morongo Basin of southeastern San Bernardino County, until 6:45 a.m. PDT Sunday, Oct. 11. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Places NWS named include Twentynine Palms, Yucca Valley, Twentynine Palms Base, Twentynine Palms Airport, Amboy, Joshua Tree Lake Campground, Joshua Tree and Morongo Valley.
