The National Weather Service has a Flood Advisory for parts of Nye County until 9 a.m. PDT Sunday, Oct. 11. Washes and low roads may flood. Turn around, don't drown.
What is happening: The National Weather Service office in Las Vegas says thunderstorms are causing minor flooding now or soon in low spots, washes and poor-drainage areas.
Where and until when: NWS has a Flood Advisory for southeastern Nye County around Pahrump (part of a larger advisory that also covers the Spring Mountains and Mount Charleston area of Clark County, and parts of Inyo and San Bernardino counties, Calif.), until 9 a.m. PDT Sunday, Oct. 11. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Places NWS named include Pahrump.
