Clackamas County Willamette River Greenway plan change goes to a state hearing Oct. 22
Oregon's Land Conservation and Development Commission will hold a public hearing and vote on a Clackamas County amendment to its Willamette River Greenway design plan on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, at its hybrid meeting in Astoria.
A Clackamas County amendment to its Willamette River Greenway design plan is on the agenda for a state public hearing and vote on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026. The Oregon Land Conservation and Development Commission (LCDC), which oversees land use planning statewide, will take it up at a hybrid meeting held in Astoria and online, according to the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD).
The Willamette River Greenway is Oregon's statewide planning goal for protecting land along the Willamette River, and local greenway plans guide what can be built along the river. DLCD's notice lists the Clackamas County item for a public hearing followed by commission action. The staff report and the county's proposed changes are in the meeting materials.
The same hearing block includes the Salem-Keizer Scenario Plan. Earlier Thursday the commission is set to act on Middle Housing Oregon Homes rules (Divisions 46 and 47), and later it takes a briefing and public comment on DLCD's draft climate resilience work plan under Executive Order 25-26.
The public part of Thursday's meeting starts at 10:30 a.m., with a welcome from Astoria Mayor Sean Fitzpatrick. Check the agenda for the time of the greenway item.
