Duties listed on the posting: escorting children across streets and highways before and after school hours; directing traffic at intersections near county school drive entrances to help buses arriving and departing; monitoring children to ensure safe crossings; recording license plate numbers of vehicles disregarding traffic laws and reporting infractions; and directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic during emergencies, special events and general congestion.
