Two Bronze Star Medals with Combat “V” appear in published citation text for Korea: one for a night wire-repair patrol ambushed on September 26, 1951, when he crawled forward with grenades and rifle fire so the line could be fixed; another for rocket-section leadership on the main line of resistance from October 1951 into March 1952, including wounds taken while volunteering for bunker patrols. This register will not invent a Silver Star the published citations do not name.
