These terms cover paid Public Register Placement, obituaries, press releases, and county alerts on Notice Nearby. A register placement is not newspaper publication and is not legal advice.

The product

Notice Nearby sells Public Register Placement and related paid products (including garage-sale, mechanic’s-lien, storage- and vehicle-lien, and Gov Meeting Listing SKUs), Obituary Placement, Paid Press Release, and extra county-alert seats. Legal Publication is not for sale at checkout. Existing Legal Publication filings stay searchable. Nothing on this site is legal advice. A register placement does not satisfy newspaper or other statutory legal-notice requirements. A publisher affidavit on file records URL, dates, and content hash for that paid listing. It does not make a placement Legal Publication or newspaper publication.

Operator

The site is operated by Record of Sale, LLC, an Oregon limited liability company. Ryan Standley is Publisher / Authorized Officer. These terms are a contract with the LLC, not with a newspaper, court, or clerk.

What a placement is not

A paid register placement does not satisfy newspaper or other statutory legal-notice requirements. An Affidavit of Publication or Placement Certificate records what ran on this site: official URL, dates live, and content hash. It is not a court endorsement, not proof that a statute was satisfied, and not legal advice. Qualification is a statute table, not a slogan.

Payment and first-time 50%

Nothing goes live unpaid. Stripe Checkout charges the listed SKU. First paid purchase from a new customer email is 50% off once. VET50 is 50% off Obituary Placement only. Taxes are not collected at checkout unless Stripe is later configured to do so. Chargebacks and refunds are handled through Stripe and the publisher desk.

Your copy

You represent that you have the right to publish the text and any photo you upload, and that the copy is not unlawful. Customer notice text is advertiser matter. The publisher may refuse a draft before payment or withdraw a live page under /takedown. Sourced government listings and publisher-desk cards are labeled and are not your filings.

County QR sheets and short links

Every paid notice purchase includes a county QR sheet. Sheets and nnby.us short links are register traffic. They are not statutory publication and not a newspaper run. Scanning a sheet opens the county hub or a notice page on noticenearby.com.

Acceptable use

Do not use the register to publish threats, impersonation, malware, or content we refuse on the desk. Do not scrape the site in a way that degrades service. Automated ingest of official government notices is a publisher job, not a license for third-party harvesting of customer emails.

Limitation

The register is provided as a paid online posting service. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Record of Sale, LLC is not liable for consequential damages, for a court’s refusal to treat a placement as statutory notice, or for downtime. Professional-liability insurance, if mentioned, appears only on /about and is not a performance bond.
