Federal campaign-finance reports filed with the Federal Election Commission are public under 52 U.S.C. § 30111(a)(4). The Commission’s rule at 11 CFR 104.15 restricts sale or use of that information to solicit contributions or for a commercial purpose. Notice Nearby attributes committee identity to FEC.gov when a FEC ID is present. Official state systems sit under their own statutes and keep their own labels.
