Refuse and takedown

Notice Nearby may refuse a notice or YouTube sponsored placement before payment. After a page or YouTube post is live, a written request to publisher@noticenearby.com is logged and reviewed. The Publisher may leave the page up, set it to withdrawn (default search then omits it), take down the YouTube post, or apply formatting-only corrections. Customer notice text is not rewritten.

1. Refuse before payment

The Publisher may refuse a draft before Stripe Checkout: matter that is not a public notice, incomplete copy, or content the desk will not run. A refuse decision is a publishing decision. It is not a legal finding and not a court order. Unpaid drafts stay in notice_drafts and never become a live register page.

2. How to ask after a page is live

Write publisher@noticenearby.com with the subject line “Refuse or takedown request.” Include every item below. Incomplete mail is returned once for the missing fields.

• Publication number (NN-YYYY-#####, NN-YT-YYYY-#####, or committee page) or public URL
• Requester name and a reachable email
• Whether you are the advertiser, a named party, counsel, or a third party
• The specific relief asked for: refuse a draft, withdraw a live page, or formatting-only correction
• A short factual reason (unlawful matter, court order, identity error, or other)
• A copy of any court order or lawful process, if you have one

3. What the desk does

1. The inbox is logged. Ryan Standley or the Publication Desk acknowledges within 2 business days when mail is complete.
2. Review is of the live page, the purchase archive if one exists, and any order you attached. Customer notice text is not rewritten except for formatting (line endings and spacing).
3. Outcome is one of: leave the page live; set status to withdrawn in Postgres so default search omits it while the URL may remain as a withdrawn record; or apply a formatting-only correction.
4. A lawful court order or other process that names this site is followed. We do not invent a petition, and we do not pretend a withdrawn page means a statute was satisfied or undone.

4. What this is not

This is not a promise to unpublish on demand. A paid public-notice register keeps a record. Withdrawal removes the page from default search. It does not edit history into a different notice, and it is not legal advice. Not legal advice. Not a court endorsement.
