Ashley Laine Henderson-Huff’s Bronze Star Medal and Purple Heart are named in the Department of Veterans Affairs’ #VeteranOfTheDay profile of her service. The VA article states that she was posthumously awarded a Bronze Star, a Purple Heart, and a Combat Action Badge after a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near her patrol in Mosul on September 19, 2006.
