Carlos James Lozada was a Puerto Rico–born paratrooper of the 173rd Airborne Brigade when his company fought on Hill 875 near Đắk Tô on November 20, 1967. Serving as a machine gunner, he held his position under heavy assault so the rest of the company could withdraw; the Medal of Honor citation records that he kept firing until he was mortally wounded. The award was posthumous.
