Ahead of El Niño this winter, Governor Newsom prepares California for winter storms and flooding impacts

Colusa County, California sent this emergency note to the Notice Nearby publisher inbox. In plain English, the email says: “96 Ahead of El Niño this winter, Governor Newsom prepares California for winter storms and flooding impacts - California is staging flood-fighting supplies, preparing water infrastructure, and helping coastal communities FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Friday, October 9, 2026 Governor's Press Office: (916) 445-4571 Ahead of El Niño this winter, Governor Newsom prepares California for winter storms and flooding impacts California is staging flood-fighting supplies, preparing water in…” This desk did not add a town, a clock time, or a measurement the email left out.

A resident can use the words in that email and no others. If a date is missing here, it was missing in the email. If a road or a room is missing here, the county did not name it in the part this desk kept. The desk tag on this page is Emergency. That tag is how Notice Nearby files the note. It is not a new fact.

The next county page on Notice Nearby is /ca/colusa. The email did not include a separate county web link that this desk could keep. This is a Notice Nearby reading of an email a county sent to the publisher inbox. It states what that email said. It does not take a side. It is not a newspaper story and not Legal Publication.
