No. A register is how a resident finds the text. Legal publication is what a statute, court, or public body has designated for that purpose. On this site those are two products, and only one of them is for sale.

Because many American statutes still use the word newspaper, and because residents still treat “it was in the paper” as the whole job. Mixing the words hides the work. Access After the Newspaper is the public paper on that split.

No. The qualification table leaves the Nos visible. Falsely representing 35:3-3 eligibility and accepting legal notices is an unlawful practice under N.J.S.A. 35:3-3(e) and C.56:8-1 et seq.

No. No § 8.01-324(J) circuit-court order is on file. Legal Publication is not for sale in Virginia. Existing Virginia Legal Publication filings remain on this register.

No. Florida legal advertisements follow Chapter 50: a qualified newspaper, or a publicly accessible website only if designated under § 50.0311. This site is not that designation unless the county has said so in writing.

The durable public unit on this register is the county (or the independent city where a state uses a city instead of a county). Cities and ZIP codes are filters on the page. They are not separate poster products. Congressional districts are a second join — they count people; they do not replace the county door.

Paid Public Register Placements that name that county, existing Legal Publication filings that name that county, sourced government listings that name that county, community listings, and local briefs. Federal Register or out-of-county notices do not dump onto a county page unless the notice text names that county.

No. Public Register Placement does not satisfy newspaper or other statutory legal-notice requirements. Confirm the governing statute with counsel before you file. Many offices keep a newspaper run when they want both.

Only when the notice is a meeting or hearing and the body is 2,000 words or fewer. If the text is the full measure — ordinance, bid package, budget — use the regular Public Register Placement products.

One year from placement, which is the posting window printed on the Placement Certificate. Paid pages stay public and searchable during that window.

The public identifier assigned when the notice is placed (for example, NN-2026-00041). Use it on Verify. Sourced listings and community cards use other prefixes; the prefix is a shelf mark, not a court stamp.

No. Formatting-only corrections (line endings and spacing) may be applied. Customer notice text is not rewritten.

You pick a state and a county (or independent city). Cities and ZIPs remain filters on the hub. Every poster in a county uses the same county URL.

Louisiana uses parishes. Alaska uses boroughs and census areas. Virginia, Maryland, Missouri, Nevada, and others use independent cities in place of a county for some places. The register follows that public unit. See Parish, Independent City, Borough and the county QR spec: one sheet per unit.

When a notice is placed, Notice Nearby stores the full text here, computes a SHA-256 of the canonical notice text, and may anchor that content hash on Base with the publication number, notice id, and timestamp. The chain stores a hash, not the notice. Anyone can verify the hash on Notice Nearby and on Basescan.

No. No federal statute requires public notices on a blockchain. State codes reviewed for Access After the Newspaper do not treat an on-chain hash as a stand-in for a newspaper, a government website, or an eligible online news publication.

Paste a publication number, the notice URL, or the SHA-256 of the published text at Verify. The site recomputes the hash from the live record, checks the signed receipt, and shows the Base content-hash fingerprint.

Because the later reader needs to know which words were on the page. A statute says where the duty ran. A register says where the resident looks. A hash says the text was not quietly swapped. Three jobs.

No. Do not call a poster, QR, or county page “legal publication,” “newspaper of record,” “qualifying publisher,” “legal organ,” “court-approved,” or “bonded.”

Anywhere a resident already walks: library, fire station, board room, hallway, other. Placement tokens on the short link (library, fire, board, other) are analytics labels. They are not qualification evidence. Scan analytics are not 35:3-3 traffic proof, not a unique-visitor audit, and not evidence that a statute was satisfied.

A resident lives in a county. Representation is counted in a district. Notices that name a place should be findable both ways. Wesberry did not move county lines. Usual residence is counted in a county.

No. A printed county code, when offered, applies to Public Register Placement only. A discount is a price. It is not legal validity. There is no affidavit button and no Legal Publication button on the sheet or in the print picker.

If a later dispute is about which words were posted, the hash is how anyone checks the filed text against the live page. It does not replace the statute.

No. Public papers and local briefs explain the register and current events that shape American public notice. They are not a newspaper.

No. Search is of what is on this register: paid placements, existing Legal Publication filings, and sourced government listings. Counts on the homepage are shelf counts, not a census of every statutory run in every county.

Because the resident does not live on your homepage. A county hub and a hallway sheet are how someone who does not already know your URL finds the same words. That is extra public record. It is not a substitute for the official-site duty where a statute names your site.

Only if counsel for the jurisdiction says the governing statute allows it. Most states still name a qualified newspaper, a legal organ, or an official journal. This page does not invent that permission.

State, county, type, the words the public is supposed to read, dates, and any case number the type requires. Garage-sale fields do not ask for a case number. Hearing fields do not ask for a construction-lien legal description unless you put one in the body.

New paid notices receive a Placement Certificate. Existing Legal Publication filings already on the register carry an Affidavit of Publication. Buying Public Register Placement does not convert the listing into Legal Publication.

Use Gov Meeting Listing for the hearing notice. Use the school-budget type (regular Public Register Placement) for the budget or millage text. They are not the same filing.

No. Election text on this register is register placement. It is not the official sample ballot, not the precinct book, and not the canvass. See The Polling Place Is a County Book.

The sheet is a traffic tool. Local building and board rules control what hangs on a public wall. Notice Nearby does not email the clerk. Print the sheet. An optional permission PDF is enough.

No. Later-reader reconstruction of an APA clock is a paper, not a product feature. The comment period lives on the originating docket.

Delay is a fact about a vintage. Vintage is part of the number. A register page does not invent a certified figure. See When the County Number Is Delayed.

No. They are publisher-desk summaries of public federal filings. They do not satisfy a statutory notice requirement.

P.L. 2025, c. 72 routes most required notices away from the old print-newspaper tests.

• Public entities publish on the entity’s own official website (N.J.S.A. 35:3-2), free, with a conspicuous homepage link, and keep a ≥1-year archive.
• Private parties publish on an eligible online news publication (N.J.S.A. 35:3-3).
