Josephine County commissioners hold an administration workshop and a 4-H/Extension district meeting Thursday, Oct. 15
Josephine County commissioners meet at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026, for a County Administration Workshop, including Resolution No. 2026-039, then at 2 p.m. as the governing body of the 4H/Extension and Service District to take up a grant application. Both meetings are livestreamed.
Josephine County posted the agenda and packet for two Board of Commissioners meetings on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026, according to a county website-update alert sent Oct. 13.
When and where. Both meetings are in the BCC Conference Room in Grants Pass. The county says they will be livestreamed on its website and on the Josephine County YouTube channel.
Who. Commissioners Ron A. Smith (chair), Colene M. Martin (vice chair) and Gary L. Richardson.
1:30 p.m., County Administration Workshop. After a declaration of potential conflicts of interest, Community Development’s Building Safety division brings an out-of-state travel authorization. Under board business is Resolution No. 2026-039, "In the Matter of Affirming Compliance with State and Federal Law and Requesting That the State of Oregon Address Counties’ Federal Funding and False Claims Act Exposure." The agenda also leaves time for other matters and announcements from commissioners.
2 p.m., 4H/Extension and Service District. The commissioners convene as the district’s governing body to consider a grant application. The application form in the packet says the program is open to all applicants, with awards based on demonstrated benefit to agricultural education in Josephine County. It asks for a project description, budget, background and three references, and says awarded funds are handled through the district’s budget process.
