Oregon Health Authority seeks a physician and two members of the public for its Medicaid Advisory Committee; apply by Nov. 6, 2026
The Oregon Health Authority is recruiting for three open seats on its Medicaid Advisory Committee: one physician licensed in Oregon, preferably in primary care, and two members of the general public. Apply by Nov. 6, 2026, for early consideration. Appointments are expected in early January 2027.
The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) announced on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, that its Medicaid Advisory Committee (MAC) is recruiting for three open positions.
The open seats. One seat is for a physician licensed under ORS chapter 677, preferably in primary care. The other two are for members of the general public. OHA says people from all areas of the state are encouraged to apply.
Deadline. Apply by Friday, Nov. 6, 2026, for early consideration. OHA expects to appoint members in early January 2027.
What the committee does. The MAC is a federally required body that advises the Oregon Health Policy Board, OHA and the Oregon Department of Human Services on how Oregon’s Medicaid program, the Oregon Health Plan (OHP), operates. Members are selected by the OHA director and appointed by the Governor to one three-year term.
Time commitment. Members are asked to attend at least 80 percent of meetings. The committee meets eight times a year, from 9 a.m. to noon, on the last Wednesday of January, February, April, May (a retreat that runs to 2 p.m.), June, September and October, and the first Wednesday in December. Attendance can be virtual. OHA estimates one to two more hours a month to prepare. Compensation and travel reimbursement are available for eligible members.
How to apply. New applicants apply through the State of Oregon’s Workday job board (https://oregon.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/Boards) by creating a profile, searching for "Medicaid Advisory Committee" and selecting Apply. Current board members and state workers apply internally through Workday. OHA says only complete applications are considered, including a short bio, application answers, a resume and background check questions, and that applicants are subject to a background check.
Questions. Contact mac.info@odhsoha.oregon.gov or 503-793-1920. Past meeting materials are on the MAC website: https://www.oregon.gov/oha/OHPR/MAC/Pages/index.aspx. OHA says the notice is available in other languages, large print or braille by emailing MAC.Info@odhsoha.oregon.gov or calling 971-304-9642.
