The U.S. Fire Administration’s National Fire Academy (NFA) will deliver F2292: Wildland-Urban Interface Risk Assessment & Mitigation for the Fire Service on April 14–15, 2027, at the Ohio Fire Academy in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
What it covers: The two-day, 16-hour course uses lectures and group activities on fire dynamics, hardening structures and infrastructure, risk assessment, evacuation, working with stakeholders and community protection.
Who should go: Fire service personnel, plus building and planning staff, code officials and community risk reduction professionals who serve wildland-urban interface (WUI) communities and the areas next to them. People who finish receive certificates from the NFA and the SFPE Foundation, plus ICC credit hours. The class is limited to 35 students.
