Friends in Springfield remember Patricia June Treadwell, who died on July 19, 2019 at 75. Born on January 9, 1944 and raised among African-American manners that never needed a speech. She learned early that a day is something you finish, not something you wait for.
She assembled frames that would hold other people's years. A frame assembler glue brush hung stayed clean enough to trust. Colleagues still mention a frame assembler glue brush hung.
She married Thomas in 1969. They kept a house that stayed modest when the neighborhood did not. They raised two sons through public schools and ordinary weather. After Thomas died in 2012, she kept the routines that still made sense: the walk, the garden, the Sunday call.
Neighbors remember a wave from the driveway that meant you were seen. She liked early mornings before the heat or the noise. She died in Springfield, among streets she never needed to explain. The key is still under the same brick.
Services
