The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) published a Notice of Application and Establishing Intervention Deadline in the Federal Register on October 8, 2026 (FR Doc. 2026-20659, 91 FR 64368) for Eastern Shore Natural Gas Company's Delmar Regional Enhancement Project, Docket No. CP26-585-000.

Eastern Shore, of Dover, Delaware, filed its application on September 24, 2026 under sections 7(b) and 7(c) of the Natural Gas Act.

What is proposed

  1. Build the approximately 2.55-mile, 24-inch Parkesburg-Daleville Loop in Chester County, Pennsylvania.
  2. Replace two segments of the 6-inch Tidewater Line, about 1.6 miles in total, with 16-inch pipe in New Castle County, Delaware.
  3. Build the 5.05-mile, 16-inch Harrington Loop in Kent County, Delaware.
  4. Build the 1.85-mile, 24-inch Barksdale Loop in Cecil County, Maryland.
  5. Abandon in place or remove about two miles of the Tidewater Line in New Castle County.
  6. Remove the existing North Bridgeville Meter and Regulator Station and build a new one in Sussex County, Delaware.
  7. Build associated aboveground valve facilities.

Eastern Shore says the project is fully subscribed and would provide 15,800 dekatherms per day of new firm transportation service to Easton Utilities Commission and Chesapeake Utilities Corporation–Delaware Division. It estimates the cost at $75,130,000.
