Two Flash Flood Warnings from the National Weather Service in Jacksonville were still active late Saturday night, Oct. 3, 2026. One ends at 11:30 p.m. EDT. The other ends at midnight EDT. They do not cover the same counties.

This page was checked at about 8:15 p.m. Pacific Time, which is 11:15 p.m. Eastern. Both warnings were still inside their clocks then. A warning can end early or be extended. If this page and weather.gov disagree, weather.gov wins.

The rule is the same in every county on the list: do not drive into floodwater. Most flood deaths happen in cars, and night makes the water harder to see.

Warning that ends at 11:30 p.m. EDT

The first warning was issued at 8:30 p.m. EDT and runs until 11:30 p.m. EDT. The product is a Flash Flood Warning from the Jacksonville office, code FFWJAX.

The area is southeastern Baker County, northwestern Clay County, northeastern Bradford County, and northeastern Union County. It is a slice of each county, not a promise that every road in the county is under the same polygon.

At 8:30 p.m. EDT, radar showed thunderstorms with heavy rain. Between 1.5 and 3.5 inches had fallen. Another 1 to 2 inches were possible. Flash flooding was ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

Places the warning names: Lawtey and Ellerbee. If your town is not printed, you can still be inside the warned slice. Use the county portions above, not only the two place names.

Warning that ends at midnight EDT

The second warning was issued at 8:54 p.m. EDT and runs until midnight EDT. It is also FFWJAX, and it is a different area.

The area is northern Nassau County in northeast Florida and central Camden County in southeast Georgia. Woodbine is in Camden County. Kings Ferry and Colesburg are the other places the warning names.

At 8:54 p.m. EDT, radar showed 1.5 to 4 inches already down, with another 1 to 2 inches possible. The hazard is flash flooding from thunderstorms. The source is radar. The impacts are creeks, streets, underpasses, and low spots.

Advisories are a different product

A Flood Advisory is not a Flash Flood Warning. Late Saturday the Jacksonville office also had advisories that mentioned Nassau County with part of Duval County until midnight EDT, and Camden County with part of Glynn County on shorter clocks. Those advisories talk about minor flooding in poor-drainage spots.

Do not treat the end of an advisory as the end of a warning. Recheck weather.gov for the product that names your county. The two warnings above are the severe products this brief is built on.

What to do

Turn around if the road is covered. Do not drive around a barricade. At night, a dip can look shallow and be a creek.

People near Lawtey, Ellerbee, Woodbine, Kings Ferry, and Colesburg should stay off low crossings until their warning clock is over. Baker, Bradford, Clay, and Union: 11:30 p.m. EDT unless the office changes it. Northern Nassau County and central Camden County: midnight EDT unless the office changes it.

Call 911 if you are trapped. Notice Nearby cannot send help. County hubs on this register: Nassau, Baker, Bradford, Clay, and Union in Florida, and Camden in Georgia.
