A small builder got a $1,004,511 NASA job to put a new roof on a building in Maryland.

The company is New Dominion Construction LLC. NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center signed the order on Sept. 29, 2026. The work runs from Oct. 1, 2026, to March 30, 2027. The job is to replace the roof on Building 07.

Six companies sent in bids. Only one won. New Dominion is listed as a small business. It is also listed as an 8(a) firm and a HUBZone firm.

This was not a brand-new contract. It was an order under a bigger NASA deal that many builders share. That deal is number 80GSFC22DA006. If you are not on it, you could not bid on this order.

The award says no subcontracting plan was required. That does not mean the winner will do every task alone. A roof job still needs materials, a crane, a dumpster, and trade help.

The work starts now and must finish by spring. Suppliers who call early have the best shot.
