Nye County opened its 2026–2027 Veterans Banner Program on Oct. 1, 2026. The banners honor past and present Nye County service members.

Banners hang in two places: at the Calvada Eye outside the Nye County Administration Building in Pahrump, and at the William P. Beko Justice Complex in Tonopah. The program also includes banners for "Missing in Action/POW" and "Nye County Honors Our Heroes."

Who qualifies

The honoree must be a present or past member of the U.S. Armed Forces; be a current, former or deceased resident of Nye County; and have an honorable discharge.

The county says family members, friends or veterans themselves may submit applications, and also that the applicant must be the honoree or the honoree's closest living relative. Check the application form for which rule applies to you. Nye County decides who is eligible.
