This page is a record of a public notice for a meeting that has already happened. The hearing was set for Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time. This paper was written on October 4, 2026, from the posted notice. It does not report what happened at the meeting or whether the ordinance was adopted.

The notice placed the hearing in the Commission Chambers, Grant County Administration Complex, 1400 Highway 180 East, Silver City, New Mexico 88061. The county calendar shortens the street name. The notice did not name a suite.

What the notice said

The hearing was an item on the 9:00 a.m. regular-meeting agenda. It concerned Ordinance No. O-26-04, described as a third ordinance amending and restating Ordinance O-18-01, and also amending and restating O-22-01 and O-23-08.

The ordinance would authorize taxable industrial revenue bonds for the Great Divide Wind Farm, LLC project, in one or more series, up to a maximum total principal amount of $700,000,000, for wind and/or solar facilities and battery storage.

What the hearing was, and what it was not

A hearing is not an adoption. Consideration of the ordinance, the next agenda line, is not the issuance of bonds. An industrial revenue bond is not a tax levy.

The posting spelled the hearing line "Discission." The ordinance title uses both "third" and "second amended and restated"; this paper does not reconcile them. The notice did not give the item its own time.

Other items on the same agenda

A data-center presentation, comprehensive-plan Resolution R-26-56, road-fund extensions, the Agave Street rename and an executive session were separate items. The agenda said it could be changed up to 72 hours before the meeting.

Megawatt figures, the Scout name and a pad coordinate come from earlier papers, not from this notice.

This is Grant County, New Mexico (FIPS 35017), whose county seat is Silver City. It is not Torrance County, New Mexico (FIPS 35057), not Grant County, Washington, and not Cowlitz County or Longview, Washington.
