A Pahrump business got state gaming approval last month. On Sept. 17, 2026, the Nevada Gaming Commission approved restricted agenda item 04-09-26, case R26-0552, for Romero's in Pahrump.

Best Bet Products, Inc. is the licensee at Romero's. The approval lets Romero Enterprises, Inc., the business operator, receive a percentage of gaming revenue from Best Bet Products at Romero's. The Commission also approved licenses for the two owners of Romero Enterprises: George Romero, 50 percent, shareholder, director and president; and Marisela Hernandez Romero, 50 percent, shareholder, secretary and treasurer. Each holds 100 shares of common stock.

The item was on the restricted agenda. In Nevada, a restricted location can have no more than 15 slot machines and no other games, at a business where gaming is not the main activity.

The condition

The Nevada Gaming Control Board recommended approval at its Sept. 2, 2026, meeting in Carson City, with one condition. The Commission approved it with the same condition.

The condition: the licensee must show it finished a regulatory compliance seminar for restricted licensees, one the Board Chair or the Chair's designee finds acceptable, within 90 days after the state gaming license is issued. The Chair or designee may extend that deadline.
