My eighth-grade students built our school newscast from scratch with Gemini.

When my 8th-grade students decided to launch our school’s first-ever newscast, we started from scratch: no name, no logo, and no established brand. By using Gemini as a creative partner alongside Google Docs and Slides, my students built our show, “The Cougar Rumble,” from the ground up.
Students collaborated on initial concepts, used Gemini to identify the common themes across their logo sketches, and generated prompts to refine their brand kit. Today, that same workflow powers our weekly broadcasts, helping teams polish scripts and organize shot lists before filming. Rather than replacing their creativity, tools like Gemini give my students more opportunities to brainstorm, revise, and bring their original ideas to life.
