Jim Farley’s Ford+ bet: Blue trucks, Model e, and software in the same driveway

Car companies love a product hero. Jim Farley’s public Ford chapter is three businesses under one oval. President and CEO since October 2020 — and president of Ford Model e — he has framed Ford+ as vehicles, software, and services working together rather than a single-lineage turnaround slogan.

Ford Motor Company builds and sells the vehicles Americans can name without a brochure: F-Series trucks, Mustang, Explorer, Bronco, and commercial vans, alongside electric models such as Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning.
