Lisa Ingram stays White Castle’s CEO and board chair in Columbus

White Castle’s January 7, 2025 release, datelined Columbus, Ohio, named Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel Anthony Joseph president. The release says that appointment is the first time a non-family member has held the president role. It also says Lisa Ingram, a fourth-generation family member, remains chief executive officer and board chair.

The same release calls White Castle a family-owned enterprise and quotes the company’s vision line, “Feed the Souls of Craver Generations Everywhere.” The company boilerplate in that release says White Castle, America’s first fast-food hamburger chain, has been making Sliders since 1921, is based in Columbus, Ohio, and owns and operates about 340 restaurants plus a retail division. It also says the company owns and operates its own meat plants, bakeries, and frozen-Slider retail plants.

That January 7, 2025 account of recent milestones says the brand celebrated its 100th birthday in 2021, opened destination restaurants in the Phoenix and Orlando areas, sold its 6 billionth retail Slider, and broke ground on an expansion of its plant in Vandalia, Ohio. The release says the 150,000-square-foot facility, called “The House That Bill Built” in honor of former president and CEO Bill Ingram, supplies packaged Sliders to retailers in all 50 states.
