Sherman Miller runs Cal-Maine Foods from Ridgeland, Mississippi

Cal-Maine Foods’ definitive proxy statement filed August 18, 2026 lists Sherman L. Miller as president, chief executive officer, and a director. The proxy says he was elected to the board in 2012, has devoted his professional career to the company since joining in 1996, has served as president since 2018, and was elected chief executive officer in 2022. It says he previously served as chief operating officer from 2011 to 2023.

The company’s Form 10-K for fiscal 2026 says Cal-Maine is the largest egg company in the United States and a leading player in the egg-based food industry. That filing says the company was founded in 1957 and is headquartered in Ridgeland, Mississippi. It says the shell-egg portfolio runs from conventional to specialty, including cage-free, nutritionally enhanced, organic, brown, pasture-raised, and free-range eggs, for retail and foodservice customers.

The proxy’s notice of the 2026 annual meeting gives the corporate offices as 1052 Highland Colony Parkway, Suite 200, Ridgeland, Mississippi 39157. The same proxy says he earned a B.S. in poultry science from Mississippi State University, where he serves as Distinguished Fellow for the Department of Poultry Science, and that his board service includes the United Egg Producers, the U.S. Poultry and Egg Association, and the Mississippi State University Poultry Science Advisory Board.
