Southeastern Burke County in western North Carolina... Caldwell County in western North Carolina... * Until 115 PM EDT. * At 728 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a line of training cells producing torrential rainfall moving across eastern Burke County and entering central and eastern Caldwell County from the south. This rainfall will be capable of producing 1-2 inches in less than an hour over saturated soils. This rainfall may cause additional, significant rises on area streams, including Zacks Fork Creek near Lenoir; Lower Creek from Lenoir to Gamewell to Antioch Rd; flood-prone urban are National Weather Service alert.
