    NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING — BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS VARIANCE The Lexington Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing on variance application BZA-26-0714 concerning a rear-yard setback reduction to permit a covered courtyard seating area behind an existing bakery on Main Street in the City of Lexington, Virginia. Hearing date: November 12, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers at Lexington City Hall. The request would reduce the required rear setback from fifteen feet to eight feet for an open-sided timber pergola with seating for not more than twenty-four guests and no outdoor amplified sound. Written comments may be filed with the Department of Planning and Development before the hearing. This notice is published once for a Virginia zoning-variance hearing sample.
